Call me Murphy

Hi, I'm Kelsey and this has got to be my fifth attempt at legitimately jotting down any sort of acceptably conscious thought. I am a (practically) twenty year-old (partially) committed full-time student at a community college, and if that fact is apparent in my writing; so be it. If you're here to support my aspirations of becoming a journalist by reading this entry, bless your soul and may Zeddie Little fertilize your eggs. If you're here looking to be entertained, abandon all hope ye who enter here; years of experience have taught me that the only person I can occupy for longer than the duration of an infants flatus, is myself.

Introductions are difficult, especially for someone like me. I happen to be the type of person whose mind goes completely blank at the moment of a hand shake. My insecurities project so vividly on my proverbial sleeve that I usually (unfortunately) allow my body language, outward appearance and guttural sounds do the talking. So basically, what could have been a smooth transition from stranger to acquaintance is immediately rocketed into the 'freakish socially inept recluse documenting her first day in the sunlight'; and, what with my naturally pale complexion, most people have no reason to believe otherwise.

Regardless, and, if I still have your attention; I was hoping I could use this blog as an opportunity to utilize what I think is a clever sense of humor. I'd like to think that by joking about the mishaps that occur on a regular basis in my life, things may become that much easier to swallow. Consider it a memoir of Murphy's law in action: Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.
